I bought this bag for a recent 2 week trip to Europe, thinking that a rolling carry-on and cobblestone streets wouldn’t mix well, and it was great. It holds a surprising amount of stuff, and is so sturdy that even after checking it crammed full on 7 international flights, I have yet to see any visible signs of wear. I also love that, now that I’m back, I can just fold it up into its included accessory case and just stow it easily on a shelf. The pattern is really attractive, too.

My only complaint about this item is that there is no padding whatsoever on the straps (which double as shoulder straps when you wear it as a backpack), and that the straps bunch up and twist around within the plastic fixtures that attach them to the body of the bag. These two issues make it pretty uncomfortable to carry anything heavy for any significant length of time.

I use this bag for almost any trip I have to make and including going to the gym. It is still in near perfect condition, and it has survived being stuffed with large amounts of clothes that would easily tear any other bag. It’s to be expected though. Jansport makes high quality products. I had a Jansport backpack that lasted from 7th grade up to my 1st year of college, and I certainly see this duffelpack lasting that long if not longer.
