RAT-A-TAT-CAT Reviews
I picked this up at a yard sale for $.25! Best quarter I’ve spent in a long time, and it is totally worth more. I bought this for my therapy practice. I see a lot of kids aged 10 and under, so I am always looking for educational games that don’t make lots of noise or use batteries.
This is a good game for high-functioning kids and/or those who love to learn games, especially card games. While there is strategy to this game it is easy enough for kids to pick up and the more they play the more they’ll learn. In fact, just today, I got beat three rounds in a row by a young client!
I prefer games where I don’t have to “dummy down” for the kids to have a chance of winning. This is one of those games. It is easy, fun, and short. It saved my life when I was flying alone with the kids over Christmas break and we were stuck at the airport for two days. We must have played 100 rounds of this, and noone got tired of it. They still wanted to play more when we were safely at Grandma’s house.
