Merial Frontline Plus Flea and Tick Control for Cats and Kittens
Frontline Plus, Frontline products are highly recommended by veterinarians for flea and tick control for dogs and cats. For cat owners who want long-lasting, fast-acting flea, tick, and chewing lice control, Frontline Plus guarantees control on cats aged 8 weeks and older. You only have to apply Frontline Plus once a month, so a 6-Dose supply will provide you with up to 6 months of convenient, highly effective flea, flea egg, chewing lice, and tick control.
Frontline Plus kills up to 100% of existing fleas in less than 24 hours and continues, on a single dose, killing them for at least an entire month. Its special ingredient also kills flea eggs and larvae, which, in effect, prevents the development of new fleas. It destroys all stages of 4 major ticks, including ticks that may carry Lyme disease, which provides your cat and your family with additional protection. Frontline Plus is waterproof, so your cat will still be protected if it bathes or goes for a swim. Merial backs up Frontline Plus with a limited Satisfaction Guarantee.
Using Frontline Plus is a simple 3-step process. First, remove the applicator from the child-resistant package, use scissors or just lift the plastic tab to expose the foil, and then peel down. Secondly, open the applicator, hold it upright, and snap the tip away from your face and body. Finally, apply Frontline Plus by placing the applicator tip through your cat’s hair to the skin between the shoulder blades. Squeeze the applicator to apply the entire dose to a single spot on the cat’s skin.
Frontline Plus Reviews
I moved from the midwest to Florida 3 years ago. My cat is an indoor cat and I’ve had her for 13 years now. When we lived in the midwest, she never had a problem with fleas. When we moved here to Florida, I noticed she kept scratching and biting at her fur. I bought everything that dept. stores carry trying to get rid of the fleas. Nothing worked. I started to panic because she started getting worse and worse. She was ripping her hair out in huge clumps and her skin was black. She had sores all over her.
I took her to the vet and he told me that she has a severe allergy to fleas. Unfortunately here in Florida, Frontline Plus’s a huge problem. She had such a reaction that she was on the verge of getting mange. He treated her (shaved her, gave me steroids to give to her and a topical cream). After I was finished giving her all of the meds, I took her back for a check up. He gave me a 3 month supply of Frontline and told me to stop buying the stuff dept. stores sell.
I was skeptical and scared. But I did as he said and have not regretted Frontline Plus. My cat is healthy again and never pulls at her fur or itches.
I know this sounds like an advertisement, but Frontline Plus’s not. I swear by this stuff. After having a pet for 13 years, she is a huge part of my family and I couldn’t imagine what I’d do without her. I only give her the best. And this is Frontline Plus.
We live in Central Maine. The cat goes outside every day. He gets ticks from spring until the the end of fall. Although this doesn’t prevent him from actually having the ticks attach themselves, Frontline Plus does prevent him from getting sick from their bites! The cat is 6 years old, and has never had fleas!
We use this product from March until December. I would definitely recommend using Frontline Plus on your cat! Note: When placing it between the shoulder blades, try to get as close to the nape of the neck as possible so your cat doesn’t lick it off. Frontline Plus stays wet for a couple of days, then is absorbed into the skin.
