I am very satisfied with them, had them for almost 2 months and no problems. Glad I bought them early, because I paid only $ 134.99 (after a discount of $ 22.00) from Amazon, now they are charging $ 237 for them. They clean very easy, without stain, even if you let the food sit in them during the night. No major scratches, if you take care of them that will be fine. The covers are great, I like the glass, nice to see how the food is cooking without having to lift the lid. The cover handles are a lil awkward, does not allow to stack the covers on top of each other. And if you do not hold exactly covers the field of plastic handles that part coin is hot, but these are minor issues. Overall a very good product and so happy I was able to throw my el-cheapo pots away. I hope to have these for years to come.

I was given a set of stainless steel cookware for Christmas last year, but returned and bought this instead and enjoyed cooking with the pots during the past year. Like someone who is easily distracted and is self taught in the arts of cooking, nonstick cookware that I could go straight from stove to oven and cook it evenly. My other requirements were silicone handles and glass lids. I absolutely love this pot and cook with them almost every day. Cook the eggs are large and are so easy to wipe clean after use. My in-laws bought pots titanium (about 1,000 dollars) and worth every penny. But, my mother-in-law waited 30 years. to spend so much and after using my set, told me that my pans are the best (and this Kitchenaid set is very convenient). I recommend to everyone I know. If you are contemplating the set of 10 pieces, I say spend the extra and get this series, because the QT 5. covered saute pan is my most prized, and the QT 8. prevent relapse pot boil the pasta. Definitely worth the money and then some. Great cookware!

I have had good experiences with KitchenAid products and this is no exception. It is well designed, quiet, and very powerful, easy to knead heavy dough wheat bread. The bowl is smaller than the ideal size for making pesto or doing similar work. The bowl and blade-locking mechanisms are well designed – intuitive to use, without loss or messing around. Comes apart and cleans easily. Feels very stable and robust.
Moreover, the case of the accessories is a nice touch, keeps me from cutting myself as I fumble around shelves or drawers to find all the pieces (although I agree with another reviewer, who said that it would nice if the case can be tightened. .. I’m using the elastic method). After years of using a cheapie and then a poorly designed Cuisinart, is the difference between night and day. Definitely recommended.

We just received this blender and have used it three times (juices and cut) in the three days we had. It’s fantastic! The juicer attachment did not work as we wanted. Only some of the juice extracted from our 6 lemons, so we had to use a manual reemer to complete the work. But since I rarely use this processor to press, we do not mind. (We did not buy it for fixing squeeze, but since it came with one, we decided to use it because we happened to be making lemon curd.) Chop We have a lot of broccoli for our dogs – a cluster of day. With our Krups 11-yr-old, we had to cut the broccoli into pieces 1 “and could not chop up the group at once. It took a couple of minutes to process. With the KitchenAid, we were able to cut 2-3-inch pieces and assemble the entire group in the bowl at once. Three pulses later, we had finely minced broccoli. This machine is powerful.
It ‘also easy to clean. I can not wait to use it for slicing and grating cheese vebetables.

KitchenAid Professional 5 Plus Series Review

If you make pasta, bread heavy or large batches, the mixer for you. I was a little smaller Kitchen Aid mixer, which I also loved, but both the size and engine power of this model is invaluable. KitchenAid Professional 5 Plus Series is a beautiful machine. It is heavy and quiet, and very powerful as an expensive luxury car. It is also very beautiful, I have red, and it is just wonderful with my red Le Creuset pans (they have the same exact color and finish). It has a very useful feature where it starts smoothly when you turn it on, then gradually accelerates. This keeps things from slopping out of the mixing tank. There are three things I do not especially like about this mixer, but you will notice that I give the machine 5 stars anyway. The first issue is really minor. It takes a certain degree of coordination to get the bayonet at the bottom of the mixing bowl attached to the mixer. The other two problems arise from the upper part of the mixer not swinging as it does on the smaller mixers. Using the plastic chute to load the accessory ingredients disturbing, so I quickly stopped doing so. When I put the ingredients into the bowl, it is a little clumsy, messy process. Then when you’ve finished mixing, it is also difficult to get the drummer of your food. If something were to happen to the machine I own, these problems would not prevent me from buying the machine exactly the same. For those who cook large batches, this mixer is simply wonderful. If you do not really need the volume, you’d be happier with one of the smaller mixers, of which high rise.

I bought a blender Artisan (lemon) 2 years ago and can not believe how much I’ve already used. Yes, it seems to sit on the counter, but she has earned the right to take up valuable space since I turned on almost every day. I had the chance to buy also the manufacturer of ice cream and a food grinder. These tools have revolutionized the way I cook and has significantly expanded the variety of food from my kitchen. I,ve been baking several loaves of bread every week for over a year. I have been using a smaller capacity mixer and ended up with flour all over the counter. I got tired of the mess, and purchased this large capacity mixer.What a differance ! This mixer really holds alot of flour, and with the cover and funel for adding ingredients,you can make several loaves of bread with very little mess. Also , it has plenty of power to knead the dough.I,m very happy with this mixer and highly recommend it.
I have had this model for about 4-5 years.

I have always baked a lot. Especially from fall through spring and the Artesian was great. However, the five-quart model just got to be too small, especially when I had kids. Since I had kids I bake more and found myself doing two to three batches back to back with the Artesian.
Now with this model I can double batches of pumpkin bread, cakes or cookies with no problem and be done in less time with less fuss. I thought I would miss the tilting head but I don’t.
The only thing I did not like about this model were the aluminum blade and dough hook. So I ordered the coated ones for this machine. I always soak my blades and wash them by hand; it would be nice if they made stainless steel versions of these but enough consumers have to make noise to get them to do something.
I gave my old Artesian 5-quart to my niece who is single with no kids. She also bakes a lot but in smaller batches than I do and the Artesian is still going strong. It works great and looks like new and her friends are always trying to borrow her mixer. If you don’t bake a lot or tend to bake in smaller batches the Artesian is great.
This model is a great choice for a high volume home baker like me; great quality, durable and powered to do bigger batches.

I have had every kind of pasta roller – the chrome manual kind, the one that does everything (mixes, extrudes) and now this. I LOVE it. I love having my hands free to hold the dough going in and coming out and not having the manual roller shift all over the place. I am amazed how thin I can make the dough – tissue paper-thin. My only complaint, and I make it for the sake of completeness, is the fact that it took SEVERAL batches of dough (the first of which I was willing to sacrifice) to “clean” it out. I noticed what looked like metallic deposits all over my dough, especially on the edges. This was very distressing to me. I tried wiping the roller with a towel (for about an hour), I tried rubbing it with olive oil and I tried dusting it with flour, all of which helped, but it was ridiculous how much time I had to spend and how many batches of dough I had to waste (about four)! Overall, however, I am very pleased, but I think they should include in the instructions a statement to the effect that you should expect to see the deposits and how to clean it, or they should make sure it’s cleaner before sending it out!

This is, without a doubt, my favorite KitchenAid attachment. If you like to make fresh pasta, these rollers are well worth the money.
The pasta roller attachment works in the same way a manual pasta machine does. You pass the dough through the roller set until the desired thickness is achieved. Then you pass the strips of dough through cutters for either fettuccine or angel hair. This joy of using these rollers is that you don’t have to crank a machine by hand or find a surface to clamp it down to.
I have been making fresh pasta for over 35 years and I have used several different methods. The KitchenAid roller attachment is the best that I have used. It is fast and effortless and clean-up is a breeze (a cleaning brush is included). The documentation that comes with the attachment is clear and easy to understand.
There is one minor flaw with the roller unit. The thickness it is set for does not always align with the marks on the adjustment wheel. This is NOT a critical problem. You can clearly see and feel the thickness of the dough and you can easily adjust the thickness accordingly. Also, if you turn the adjustment handle all the way around a couple of times the problem will correct itself. My hand cranked Atlas machine has the same minor flaw and it has NEVER affected the final outcome of my pasta. In my opinion, this problem is so minor that I will not mark the product down for it.
Overall I think that this is a well made and easy to use product. Making fresh pasta on the spur of the moment is effortless.

EXCELLENT product. The only drawback is that not everyone has the luxury to own a $200 plus motor to power this. I do. My Mom used to make several batches of fresh Chinese egg noodles and Won Ton Mein for the family. We are lucky to be 5 children, so each of us helped Mom crank turn her manual pasta roller. Now, 25 years later, I showed this marvel to Mom, and now we are making pasta again at home!!! Mom usually doesn’t accept well the new technology gadgets, so I told Mom, I am getting this pasta roller, it looks exactly like the one she owned, but it is just separated in 3 pieces and it uses an electric turner. She loves it to her amaze, we ended up making 3 batches in a row the first day. The recipe booklet is fine. One suggestion, don’t bother to use the flat beater to mix the ingredients initially. Don’t get that spoiled. Do the initial mixing with a long and narrow wood spatula or spoon, or with your hands. The flat beater tends to splash the flour out (yes the pouring shield helps, but the less gadgets the easier the cleanup after). When you do the initial mixing by hand you can really tell if your pasta mix is too wet or too dry. Mom said to try to make little clumps, and if it sticks together and if it does not stick to your finger, it is the right wetness. It only takes a few minutes to do the initial mixing, I do it in the mixer’s bowl, inside my kitchen sink, call me a neat freak. Then I let the dough hook finish the rest, usually up to 6 minutes (not 3 as written on the booklet). Then I finish kneeding by hand. Mom said to throw the dough against the kitchen counter or floor, the more you throw it, the better. I found it is easier to throw it than to try kneeding it with your knuckles. ENJOY. Get one.

I have learned my lesson. KitchenAid products from now on. First, I tossed my old mixer for the KitchenAid Classic mixer, and immediately was sorry I had not spent the money years earlier. The difference in performance is astonishing.

I finally gave in and purchased the KitchenAid Pro Line Chef’s Blender. Again, remorse over not spending the extra money years ago. Whereas my old blender (some 500 watts) would struggle to crush/chop ice and frozen bananas, etc., the Kitchenaid, with it very, very powerful motor, would do the chore in under a minute, with no hint of struggle. No need to stop the blender and ‘push down’ with my spatula to get the ingredients to the bottom. The KitchenAid simply gets the job done the first time.

The main reason I made the purchase: to make Frozen Bananan ‘ice cream’. This is a dish introduced to me by a Raw Food person (they do not eat regular ice cream). Since I am a diabetic and always dieting, I was intrigued by this healthy alternative. The recipe:

slice up a couple of bananas, and freeze overnight.
Place frozen banana’s in your blender or food processor.
Add a tablespoon or two of Raw Agave syrup (get at health food store or buy from Amazon).
Add teaspoon or two of vanilla extract.
Dash of salt, if desired (I do not, my wife does).

Blend until consistency of ice cream (in the KitchenAid, takes about 30 seconds). Enjoy. We actually tossed our ‘fat-free sugar-free ice cream’ after tasting this.

Add more Agave if you wish (it has a very low glycemic value).
I also like to add a couple of frozen strawberries to the bananas, or peaches, etc. My wife even made pure peach ice cream, using peaches instead of bananas in the recipe.

I do recommend the KitchenAid Pro Line Chef Blender.

UPDATED May 13, 2009: Over a year later, this KitchenAid blender is still going strong. I use it virtually every day. Not a hint of weakening of the motor.

Kitchenaid Pro Line Chef’s Blender is the bomb! Powerful motor and vortex action make very short work of ice and frozen fruit– without residual chunks. I have also added fresh whole fruits– peeled mangoes and sectioned peeled oranges with excellent results. The thickest, smoothest smoothies in seconds. Clean up is super easy. This blender is a huge step up from my old blender– it’s more like the commercial Vita-mix I used to use when I worked at Starbucks, except those would sometimes leave ice chunks. Excellent product.

I’m at a point in my life where I am developing a taste for quality, and can finally afford the kind of quality I desire. I like to dabble in the kitchen, so I’ve been building my arsenal of kitchenware recently. I’ve invested in some high-quality cookware and utensils, and started working on some appliances. I’ve got an 11-cup Cuisinart food processor, but that tends to be overkill for a lot of smaller jobs – I hate all the cleanup involved with making a cup of guacamole dip, for instance. I like to use peeled whole tomatoes to make tomato sauce for pasta dishes, but my wife doesn’t care for chunks of tomato in the finished sauce. No problem… I just dunk the stick blender right into the can of tomatoes and out comes a nice thick puree with all the rich flavor that pre-made sauces seem to lack.

This stick blender came highly recommended by an acquaintance, and it doesn’t disappoint. With its high-power motor, variable speed settings and versatile accessories, this is a compact and high-impact kitchen tool. Easy to clean, too. I would urge caution if you’ve never used one of these before, especially when working with very watery liquids as they can end up getting blown right out of your container if you’re not careful.

This exceeded my expectations – I have now put the food processor and blender into the cupboard. I am glad that I got the attachments – do use the chopper a lot and the bowls are quite heavy and stable and very easy cleanup. I am trying to limit “kitchen stuff” to only the truly multipurpose tools and this really fits the bill.
