The suction cup works fine, however, this suction cup mount is only for certain nuvi devices, something that is not made clear in the product description. It works with the 205w, 200w, 205 and 200 series. I have a 350, and the antenna flap cannot be put in the horizontal position with this mount.
If you’re having problems with the suction cup, be sure to clean the rubber suction cup, as film from the windshield will accumulate and the unit can fall off the window.
Also, if the suction cup is applied near sea level and you drive into the mountains, don’t be surprised if the unit falls off.

Just like the one that came with my GPS unit. Love the ball design, you can move it easily and it stays where you move it to. Suction cup works very well. It did fall off once just after I attached to the window, but it must have been my fault because it has never happened again. Do not leave it attached to the window for long periods of time, especially in the summer months; rubber may stick to the window and once you pry it off it will never be the same.

This thing couldn’t be easier to use, couldn’t be more versatile (in terms of where you can put it), and couldn’t be more reliable. I prefer to use it on my windshield, as opposed to the dashboard mount.

So far, it seems to work as well as the one that came with my GPS. The original mount and bracket were accidentally thrown away by someone not knowing what they were. Glad there was a replacement bracket and mount available.

My non-friction mount was stolen along with the peice to connect my nuvi 200W to the mount so I had to buy this and a whole new mount. It’s overpriced but I needed it!
