I strongly support this product. It is extremely functional, powerful, and works for a very long time to load. I can clean the stairs, plus one or two cars on a single charge. At the time this thing is short of power, I’m usually sick of vacuuming! Power wise, black decker phv1800cb is more than adequate for most jobs. This model has little in common with Hand Vacs the first generation who were just good to get some crumbs off to bare soil.
In summer, I used to bug vacuum inside the house. There is less crude than splashing a fly swatter and it can actually capture bugs mid air.
It’s a bit noisy, but what the hell, it’s empty! What do you expect?
We have three dogs and four species of birds within our house (do not ask) so get used every day. Sometimes I do not park in the charger to enable it to discharge completely before recharging. I also think that not allowing the battery to “cook” in the charging base May facilitate longer battery life. Although the Dyson Root sounds like fun, I think 6 minutes per charge sounds a little too wimpy. I do not even know the length of time of B & D works because it lasts long enough for all my jobs.
