This is the first toaster oven that I can say is fantastic. The toast is perfectly and evenly browned, bagels toast perfectly, and it is large enough to toast 6 slices of bread or 2 large bagels at once. I love the defrost/toast setting as I can finally get a frozen waffle that stays crisp for more than 5 seconds after toasting. There is a countdown when something is toasting which helps – at first it seemed that is was going to take a long time to toast something, but we quickly got used to the timing – and it’s well worth the wait. Also, knowing the timing really helps when preparing a large family breakfast, which we do often. The oven works great as well – things bake evenly and more quickly than our regular oven. It’s easy to clean, doesn’t take up too much room on the counter, and has an attractive style. The rack slides out for easy access and toast placement. One thing we learned, though – the metal door gets very hot on the inside (duh?), so be sure to only use the outside handle – one of us burned a finger not knowing someone had recently used the toaster and grabbed the door on the inside. I would definitely recommend this product – best I’ve seen!

This Cuisinart Toaster Oven is beautiful, efficient, and the highest quality toaster oven (other than Cuisinart’s all-stainless steel “convection” toaster oven which is a bit more expensive). Great stainless steel and black design. The digital keypad options are easy to read and use (no flimsy dials or knobs), the stainless oven handle is sleek, comfortable, and sturdy (not plastic as on most others), has a very roomy interior, and looks great on the countertop. Add a non-stick toaster oven liner to the crumb tray, and clean-up is a breeze. Although I have the all-stainless steel “convection” model, my parents and my grandmother have this stainless and black toaster oven model, and they just love it! Both models are a bit expensive, but are definitely worth every penny.

This is a great little toaster oven. People are saying that this is bulky..i don’t agree, i find this smart mini oven compact and quite the opposite, not bulky. It’s well designed and doesn’t take up much room on my counter top at all, after reading the reviews i was expecting a GIANT toaster oven..but was pleasantly surprised to find that it was just what it says it is..’compact’ i have a small kitchen and its footprint is small enough to not stand out at all on the small space alloted for this on the countertop.
Does take common sense to not burn yourself and use the handle on door when taking out food, yes.
It heats up quickly, is efficient, takes some getting used to the temperature settings and what temp to set and for how long for whatever you’re cooking, baking, broiling, Trial and error like with most electronics.

I bought this appliance about a month ago and so far it is far superior to any toaster oven I have had previously. I use it primarily for toasting and baking ever day. I was not looking for a convection oven. I use my regular oven for broiling. The door does get hot, as expected. I always use an oven mitt when removing my food and don’t consider it an imposition to do so. The feature I am most pleased with is the the door seems to be better designed than previous ovens I have purchased. By that, I mean it closes more securely than others. If you go shopping for an oven and open/close the door to a variety of ovens, you will understand what I mean. As far as how it heats, it seems to be accurate. If you follow the directions and experiment with toasting different items, you will find it easy to figure out which level suits your needs. I am extremely pleased with the Cuisinart oven and find it a superior appliance to others I have purchased and seen in stores. I have had two Cuisinart Food Processors in thirty five years and wouldn’t have any other. I also purchased three Cuisinart saucepans several years ago and found them to be far superior to any other product in their price range.
